I have always had a technical interest, and loved to disassemble toys and things as a child and teenager.
After school I started to work in the IT industri in the 90s, just when internet began.
Now after working in IT for +30 years, I would like to try out a new hobby.
Watchmaking.
I got in to watches by being interested in how old mechanical ones work. So I started to watch a few YouTube channels, and after that I was hooked.
My first watch to fix was, and still is, a Camel Trophy chronograph. A quarts movement. I needed a battery change and took it to a watch selling shop. Unfortunately they did not put a silver oxide battery in, just a regular one, so after 2 years the battery started to leak. Now some of the electronic parts are damaged. I have sourced a new electronics plate and put the watch together.
Works fine now.
I really love fixing watches and I’m looking forward learning more in this area.
Please be patient about the site layout. I can not understand how WordPress is working. Have developed many applications and used many as well, but WordPress is hopeless for me to grasp. Might even code my own blog site if I can’t get this to work…
